This laminator is designed to control tension and unwind three rolls of material, typically two rolls of close-celled foam and one roll of carpet or vinyl, pass the bottom two layers in front of a natural gas burner, and through a controlled gap chilled roll to laminate the three layers to a finished thickness of up to 2-1/4". The machine uses Magpowr Spyder tension controllers in conjuction with load cells to control tension, an Allen Bradley Component view HMI, and an Allen Bradley PLC to control sequencing operations.
